I don't fly much, but when I do I always wish I had more leg room. I'm not terribly tall for the average man (which, you may or may not know, I am not) at 5'8". I can't imagine being my father, at 6'4", riding economy class on an airplane for any length of time - and he does it frequently.
I read on Newlaunches that Delta is trying to change all that with the Cozy Suite. It's like a chair with a built-in headrest between you and your neighbor. Good for strangers, not so good if you're traveling with tykes (well, then again, maybe you won't have to let them lay their head in your lap then...
The cozy suite is designed diagonally instead of straight, so you sit angled next to your neighbor, allowing each of you a bit of privacy. The angling supposedly helps with leg and reclining room, but frankly I don't see how that's possible; the seats will still have to be spaced in such a way to pack as many people in as possible.
At any rate, since in-flight calling is coming eventually, this might not be a bad thing. At least if you're stuck sitting next to a yapper you'll have a bit of privacy!
I don't usually post pictures but I can't get the point across without doing it, so...
