Electric Motorcycle Won't Win Races But Gets the Job Done

According to Engadget, Electic Motorsport has put out their new motorocycle, the GPR-S.  The thing that's so special about it is that the bike is completely electric.  And, amazingly, it's not ugly!

The bike has about a 60-mile range, tops, but it will go 60-70mph, so it's not like some of the cars out there that need a tail wind going downhill to keep up with traffic (top speeds of 45mph would do in the podunk town I live in, where the speed limit may be 45mph, but if you hit 40 downhill, you're going TOO FAST!).  Of course, my commute is 20 miles one way, so I'd be worried about making it home (the range is listed at 35 - 60 miles) if I couldn't charge it during the day.

The best part is that it's actualy affordable, unlike many other green vehicles on the market.  At $8,000, it's certainly worth the price.  And if you live in a place where it never rains, you'll never have to buy gas again.  Like it?

The motorcycle is apparently ready for mass production, so order one today and have some fun.  I'm pretty sure that it would be fun to ride in some semblance of quiet on a motorcycle...but I doubt they will put Harley-Davidson out of business any time soon.
