I Know What I Want for Christmas!

For all you Star Wars freaks out there (like me!) here's what you'll want for Christmas - if you don't have a Wii, that is.  It's a game that works like the Wii, only you hold an actual light sabre and duel it out with the dark side of the force.  The light sabre is a remote, and the base that plugs into the tv is a training droid, just like Luke Skywalker used in A New Hope.  It's aptly named the Interactive Star Wars Game, and I read about it on Newlaunches.

I've been waiting for something like this to come out.  I'm not a big gamer, and have no interest in XBox, or PSP, etc.  I have to admit that the Wii does interest me a lot, but only because it's so new and different.  But, I don't have one and don't have any plans to get one any time soon.  This little ditty, though, is something I would definitely play with (and so will the boys, I'm sure).

I'm sure it's pretty good for getting a bit of exercise as well - fencing is good for you, right?  Anything that makes you get up off the couch and work up a sweat can't be all bad. :-)

And, at $49.95, the Interactive Star Wars Game is very affordable.

Update: Amazon has this item for $110 so it must be going fast...Wal-Mart has it for $44.62 but it's not sold online. Oh! and we mustn't forget Radio Shack, who has it for $20 (again, not sold online).  They had one in stock at the one next to TCBY...honey, are you reading???
